He is a former airline pilot with type ratings on the Airbus A330 and A320/1, trained through Cathay Dragon’s fully sponsored Cadet Pilot Programme and later flying for Hong Kong Airlines. He is currently a Senior Lecturer, Course Leader – Head of Pilot Programmes and Partnerships Lead for a UK University. On the global stage, he advocates for policy reform in aviation training and education, recently presenting at ICAO to champion inclusive, AI-driven approaches that support neurodiverse talent. Marco regularly appears as an aviation safety analyst on BBC, Sky News, Reuters, and other international media. He also helps shape the BBC’s open-source crash investigation manual, bridging cockpit insight, regulatory frameworks, and public accountability. With academic foundations in law and European competition policy, and currently completing his MBA at Imperial College London, Marco’s work spans AI med tech, adaptive training, and human factors - blending operational credibility with forward-thinking research.
