Nadimul Faisal is a Professor of Surface Engineering & Micromechanics at the Robert Gordon University (RGU), Aberdeen, UK. He is a CEng, and member of various professional institutions (MIMechE, MIMMM). He is also Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
He has over 20 years of experience in the application of various sensing methods, which includes sensor-based instrumented mechanical testing, process & condition monitoring, and micromechanical behaviour analysis of materials. He has published 1 USA Patent, 4 book chapters, 70 peer-reviewed journals, and contributed to over 50 conferences. He is member of Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Young Academy of Scotland. He is principal investigator of recently funded UKRI’s EPSRC grant ‘METASIS’.
Faisal holds a PhD from Heriot-Watt University. He is a Social Media Editor of journal ‘Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation’.
Amjad Gani is an Electronics & Software Engineer who has worked in the field of Embedded Systems across various organisations in the UK. Starting with a technical background, Amjad developed special interest in improving management and business efficiency.
For over a decade, he has helped businesses transform to be nimbler and Leaner enabling them to mitigate strategic threats based on evolving business environment.
Amjad has partnered with organisations across Telecoms, Insurance, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Investment Banking, etc sectors to improve their time to market, focus on outcomes, define and maintain a sustainable pace for a healthy work-life balance of employees and aim for continuous value delivery. He is passionate about New Product Development that involves constant engagement with customers for continuous improvement.
Amjad holds a Masters degree in Embedded Systems Engineering from Heriot Watt University and an MBA from University of Bradford.
